Responsibilities:
Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents software according to Dells systems quality standards, policies and procedures. Analyzes business needs and creates software solutions.
Serves as technical consultant to leaders in the IT organization and functional user groups, Subject matter expert in one or more technical programming specialties
Automate all aspects of the development life-cycle to reduce manual error-prone steps and build out repeatable Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Testing (CT) and Continuous Delivery(CD)
Ensure program delivered with quality and meet implementation date & criteria
Keeps team and leadership updated on project status and risk factors
Works on the highest level of problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Documents, evaluates and researches test results; documents evolution of testing scripts for future replication. Identifies, recommends and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies.
Work with the engineering manager, product owners, architects, developers and SDETs to endure that the product is being delivered with quality on time and within budget
Work with internal IT teams to coordinate project interlocks and deployments
Responsible for multiple projects being implemented in parallel and sprint planning for these projects
Responsible for scrum and agile excellence
Essential Requirements:
7 + years of related configuration management experience or software automated build and deploy processes in a software development environment
Very good knowledge and understanding in most of the following Web API (MS C#.Net), MVC, JSON, SOAP, REST,.Net Framework
Expert knowledge of object oriented programming
Expert Knowledge in Rabbit MQ, IBM MQ
Knowledge in database like Oracle
Ability to use and maintain and develop complex build scripts using MSBuild ,Power shell and other scripting languages.
Chef/Puppet and other virtualization /configuration management tools
Docker and other container platforms
Team City and other automated build tools.
Experienced with implementing and supporting Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Gitlab, TFS for automated build, testing, and deployment
Experienced in implementing and managing Feature Toggles through all phases of development through to Deployment
Excellent team players, yet capable of working independently, and will be able to manage multiple projects at once. Candidates will work with very little direction, will be comfortable leading conference calls, and can drive the direction of very large projects being developed by multi-shore teams Work with distributed team
Capable to do Proof of Concept (POC) on any new initiatives within a very short time.
Have depth and width of decision making maturity. Be able to gain trust & respect of engineering, dependent teams and stakeholders to deliver results
Ability to manage and influence team members without direct reporting authority
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment; work with minimal supervision while delivering on action items in a timely fashion
Desirable Requirements:
Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and software development lifecycle principles
SCRUM Master certification a plus
Nice to have Supply chain planning domain knowledge.
Exposer in NoSQL database (e.g., Mongo) is a plus
